Daily Gratitude: Double Rainbow

Today I watched my 12 year old daughter receive her 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. It was one of those truly proud mom moments.

When the ceremony was over, pictures were taken and hugs were shared. In the background I could hear people mentioning something about a rainbow. It had been storming during the ceremony with rumbling thunder that shook the karate school. I didn't think much of it, but the chatter about the rainbow got louder and more excited. So we went outside to take a look.

Outside was a beautiful double rainbow! Everyone started taking pictures, posing in front of it, huge smiles on their faces.

The ceremony was already something to be thankful for. Proud parents watching their children tie their new belts on their uniforms...belts they worked so hard to obtain. But now, here was a beautiful double rainbow shining past the leftover storm clouds. It made everyone even happier and seemingly, even more grateful.

There are those moments in life where achievements can make us feel thankful. And then there are those extra special moments where God provides us with unmistakable beauty. Today, they were both a part of my Daily Gratitude!

What are you grateful for today, my friends? Feel free to share your stories and/or pictures!

In Love & Light,

Lisa Marie
