Hello again dear friends!
Today I caught myself staring out my kitchen window while making dinner. The soft sunlight, the light breeze through the leaves that are slowly showing signs of Fall...I just got lost in it all. I felt myself becoming even more calm, I felt my heart reaching out to the beauty outside my window. It simply inspired me, and most importantly, it inspired me to write to all of you!
It got me thinking, what inspires your soul? Does nature's beauty inspire you? The sunrise or set? Walking on the beach, bare feet on the sand, watching the blue waves rush toward you and away again? The beautiful bird singing it's song high on the tree branch? The green rolling hills or the snow capped mountain tops? Sitting on that park bench watching the world go by, shaded by your favorite tree?
Or do words inspire your soul? Great literature, poems, lyrics? Books with adventure or mystery or romance or history?
What about music? Can your favorite song inspire your soul? That rock song or pop, that opera or musical? Can you feel the musical notes flow through you while listening to or playing that cello, that guitar, that flute, that piano?
Do the visual arts inspire your soul? That painting, that sculpture, that sketch, that photo? Does using mixed media to create that beautiful artistic trading card inspire you? What about sewing, or knitting or crocheting? Are you inspired by creating art, by viewing or both?
Nature definitely inspires my soul. But so do words and music and visual arts. Family and friends inspire my soul. Karate, learning new things, helping others, sending healing energy and crystals inspire me. This blog inspires me and each of you who take the time to read my words, inspires me!
There is so much in this world that can inspire your soul! What is your inspiration?
In Love & Light,
Lisa Marie
hi, I can't write as pretty as you but nature brings me close to God, seeing the beauty that was created for us, yet most of us just drive by rushing to work, not seeing the eagle that just flew by, or the beautiful colors of the flowers growing along the roads. There was a dead baby fox along side of the road, even though that was tragic, there was something so beautiful in the small perfection of that body, nothing bad was showing so it was a curious feeling to see such small perfection.
ReplyDeleteHello,
DeleteThank you for your comment and for reading my blog!:)
I appreciate the compliment regarding my writing, but you write very well too!
Things that inspire our soul can most definitely bring us closer to God or the Universe or any other higher power, depending on your beliefs. I am happy to read that nature's beauty inspires you. I agree that it is so important for all of us to take time out of our busy days to notice those things, no matter how big or small, that inspire our souls.
Thank you again for your comment and for visiting!
In Love & Light,
Lisa Marie
