Allowing Illness To Define You

My mother referred a friend of hers to me for a Distance Energy Healing.
I knew she had problems with pain and infections, but I got the sense that there was much more to it. And I felt my mother's urgency to help.

So, I began to tap into her energy.

From her head to above her stomach, she glowed orange...from her stomach to the top of her legs, red, black and brown...her left leg was green and black...her right leg was brown...and her feet black.

I associated the orange with being an orange aura. Basically, having an orange aura means she is smart, creative, independent and subject to depression and stress from worry.

I felt the red was her survival mode mixed with energetic sludge that needed to be cleansed. The green and black and the brown were a lack of energetic movement...stagnant energy. Holding onto negativity, resentment, anger, not budging, not flowing.

I tried to reach her energetically to begin healing. Immediately I saw a large metal lock and felt an energetic barrier. I heard, "My pain, my illness. I keep it locked. It is mine to have. It is my pain to shoulder, not yours. My shelter, my barrier, I hold the key."

She needed to let me in...very reluctant to let go. She has been holding onto these things for so long.

I heard, "They are mine, some of the only things in my life that are mine."

I felt she is using it for security. She began to allow small bursts of healing energy from me. She was reluctant to give up control.

I told her "You can keep your barrier, but it does not have to involve illness. Let me heal one area at a time. Let me into that bubble. You can still have your bubble but you can feel good in that bubble."

I filled her and her bubble with healing energy, like crystal clear water rushing in from her crown and flowing out the bottom of her feet, flushing out all of the muddy, dark, stagnant energy. I watched the negative color barriers in her energetic field fade away and run clear.

I then sent her Reiki. I said, "You are still in control, but you can feel good, you can feel healthy in control."

Her energy became much more calm...not fighting anymore...safe.

I sent her Reiki continuously for a week, knowing she truly needed it on all levels.

Reiki will continue to work on issues over the next week. She should be feeling well--better--very, very soon. But she needs to remain mindful that she must allow the healing energy in. Let go of pain, illness, anger, resentment, unhappiness, insecurity as much as possible. Releasing the negativity will allow the positive, healing energy in to do it's work.

It's hard when pain and illness becomes your life...defines who you are. When so many areas of your life area out of control, holding onto those health issues, not allowing yourself to heal, to feel good, that becomes your way of controlling something in your life. That negativity becomes your security blanket, keeping others away and leaving you safe in your homemade barrier.

But, as I tried to communicate to her energetic self, you can still have your barriers if you need them, but you do not have to feel pain and illness to have that kind of control of your life and environment. You can feel healthy and in control at the same time! Just because the rest of your life seems chaotic and people have hurt you and let you down, that doesn't mean you need to punish yourself for their mistakes. Take control of your life in a positive way, allow yourself to heal and let positive energy, a healthy, pain-free body and happiness be your new definition of self.

For those with chronic pain, debilitating disease or illness that affects every single day of living...my heart goes out to you.  But you, too, don't need to let your pain or illness define you. Remember, you are not your illness. Take time to see the beautiful person you really are...find yourself and your happiness. And don't be afraid to reach out for help. I have done healings on people with chronic pain, for example, and have helped their pain lessen and allowed them to do more during the day without that pain holding them down. Sometimes weekly healings or monthly healings are extremely helpful in keeping pain levels down.

No matter your situation, just remember four things:

1. Your pain/illness does not define you.
2. You are in control of your life...choose the happiest, most positive path to make the most of it!
3. You are beautiful inside and out.
4. You are loved.

God Bless you all. xo

In Love and Light,

Lisa Marie
